About The Position

Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of Veekoo's guests. This role is perfect for local college and high school students searching for jobs with scheduling flexibility.

Requirements

• Restaurant serving experience required, age 17+
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5-6 hours).
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
• Upscale Dining Restaurant: 1 year (Required)
• Night Shift (Required)
• Ability to Relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests
• Inform guests of specials and any menu changes
• Make thoughtful recommendations for guests to enjoy
• Answer questions about the menu, or restaurant related functions and services
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders accurately into Veekoo's point-of-sale system (POS)
• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a safe, timely manner
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment
• Maintain clean service areas
• Observe guests dining experience to ensure satisfaction with the food and service, responding promptly and courteously to any requests
• Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change, in a timely manner
• Assist fellow servers as situations arise
• Assist with clearing & resetting tables
• Thank guests for their visit and welcome them to return

• Base Pay: Starting $5/hr + tips
• Tipping: A percentage of your earned tips may be given to other involved employees (food runners or bussers).
• Hourly Wage: Including base pay and tips, the approximate hourly rate is $15-$35. The majority of one's pay is dependent upon individual performance and customer service abilities, therefore it is also possible to exceed the above rate.
