Author & Edit Hospitality is bringing the celebrated Au Cheval concept to Nashville's vibrant 12 South neighborhood, continuing its tradition of delivering unforgettable dining experiences in a warm, energetic atmosphere. This new location is an exciting collaboration between renowned restaurateurs Brendan Sodikoff of Hogsalt and Sam Fox of Author & Edit Hospitality. Au Cheval is an acclaimed diner-style bar and restaurant celebrated for elevating classic American comfort food through exceptional ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and genuine hospitality. It is known for its iconic cheeseburger, indulgent egg-focused dishes, and has earned a loyal following for its distinctive take on traditional diner fare. Guests also enjoy strong, classic cocktails, a thoughtfully curated global wine list, and a robust selection of draught beers.

Requirements

Minimum of two years of recent experience as a cocktail or floor server in a high-volume restaurant, nightclub, or lounge environment
Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
Capable of handling money and operating a point-of-sale system
Excellent English communication skills
Comfortable standing for long periods of time
Able to lift up to 25 pounds
Availability to work weekends and some holidays
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

Responsibilities

Serves all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards
Follows all company procedures when providing bottle service
Anticipate needs of the guests and provides exceptional hospitality
Present menus, answer questions, and makes suggestions for all beverage and food items
Accurately enters all orders into the POS system.
Ensures the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests
Maintain general cleanliness of assigned stations and entire venue
