About The Position

The Server is responsible for greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders, ensuring accuracy with requests and substitutions, and maintaining a clean dining area. The role requires knowledge of menu items and dietary restrictions, accurate payment processing, and performing opening/closing duties. Additionally, the Server will prepare food items, assist other servers, monitor equipment and supplies, and maintain cleanliness and organization. Adherence to service standards, safety procedures, and company policies is essential. The Server must also work cohesively with colleagues and management, and maintain attendance and reliability standards.

Requirements

Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision.
Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently.
Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Must possess excellent communication, follow up, and organizational skills.
Must have the ability to push, pull bend, squat and lift on a regular basis.
Safety requirements of PPE as needed for duty assigned and with use of required tools and equipment.
Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up.
Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
Knowledgeable and ensure compliance of all state food safety guidelines.
High School Diploma or GED equivalence required.
Minimum 1 year experience in hotels, banquets, or events.
Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Greet the guest and take all food and beverage orders.

Be knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients with relation to common dietary restrictions.
Pre and post bus tables in assigned station.
Always maintain a clean dining area.
Responsible for receiving all payments accurately and timely.
Performing necessary opening/closing and side work duties.
Prepare food items for guests including appetizers, sides and desserts.
Assist other servers with their tables.
Ensure all equipment is in operation order and all supplies are up to par.
Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
Follow safety and security procedures.
Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.
Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
