About The Position

The server is an integral part of the success of the BackLot by contributing to sales, daily jobs, and overall guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Required to be at least 19 years of age.
• Required to obtain and maintain a current food handler’s card and/or food safety certification, and complete Responsible Service Training, (AZ Title 4 Liquor – Basic).
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and possess basic math skills, be fiscally responsible, and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, loud environment, with multiple flashing lights, while in a standing position for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year experience in high volume restaurant setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and make them feel comfortable by establishing a personal connection.
• Communicate promptly, courteously, and effectively with all guests, management, and fellow team members.
• Be knowledgeable about the BackLot brand and items sold to be able to answer questions, make recommendations and upsell.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders to include item modifications and enter them into the POS or handheld device.
• Deliver food and beverage orders to all tables/guests to Harkins’ standards, including the patio.
• Provide exemplary service to include refilling beverages and clearing tables/seats, while exceeding guest expectations.
• Follow all applicable liquor laws, company policies, and safety procedures to Harkins’ standards.
• Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and report to bartenders or management.
• Maintain a professional appearance and working environment while setting a positive and professional example.
• Remain flexible during shift to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the dining service, as directed.
