About The Position

This role involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. The server will greet guests warmly, take orders efficiently, and deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. A key part of the role is demonstrating complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on food and drink combinations, and accommodating reasonable requests. The server will also communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special request accommodation. Exceptional communication skills, flexibility, and patience are essential when interacting with guests and staff. The role also includes collecting tickets, following proper cash-handling procedures, promoting a clean and safe environment, and maintaining sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal information. Promptly addressing complaints and relaying relevant information to a supervisor is also required. The server will ensure the dining room is properly set up and maintained, and will operate various equipment. Collaboration with staff from other departments for special events and functions is expected, along with performing other assigned duties.

• Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.

• Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests.

• Ensures that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keeps area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
• Operates a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.
• Works with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
