About The Position

The Server actively takes orders, conducts full and complete food/beverage service, and monitors guests’ dining experience. This role involves interacting with dining room guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite, courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality. The server will anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests, maintain general cleanliness of assigned stations and the entire venue, and provide professional and exceptional service. Responsibilities include presenting menus, answering questions, making suggestions for food and beverage items, informing guests of specials and prices, and soliciting allergy or dietary restrictions. The server will accurately enter orders into the POS system, follow proper payment procedures, ensure the delivery of food and beverage, and comply with all state regulations and sanitation standards. This role requires working as part of a team, possessing in-depth knowledge of menus, and completing end-of-shift financial procedures. The server will communicate guest needs to support staff and management, and perform opening/closing procedures as directed, including table setup, stocking stations, and reporting any equipment damage. Attendance and participation in daily pre-service meetings and training sessions are also required, with an emphasis on learning, observing, and leading by example. A positive and professional attitude, knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality and its partners, and assisting with additional tasks are essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years server experience or equivalent related Tao Group Hospitality experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of food and beverage experience required
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge
  • Comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails required
  • Basic familiarity with wine varietals and classic regions around the world required
  • Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
  • Must have good positive energy throughout the day
  • Must be able to print legibly for Team Members, management, and guests to read
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to move quickly
  • Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon the guest volume
  • Exposure to cleaning materials
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
  • Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests

  • Serves all beverages in accordance with all state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards
  • Complies with Department of Health and company sanitation standards
  • Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members
  • Accurately completes all end-of-shift financial procedures
  • Communicates the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff, managers, and chefs
  • Properly sets-up floor and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including ensuring tables, chairs and banquettes are clean and free of debris, setting tables with proper settings, wiping down chairs, tables, and banquettes, stocking side-stations with prescribed supplies, and completing opening/closing duties as assigned or directed.
  • Reports all breakage, and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management
  • Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings
  • Attends and participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings
  • Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example
  • Portrays a positive and professional attitude
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments
