About The Position

Emerald's Server (Part-Time) is responsible for providing friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members. This role involves delivering prompt and accurate food and beverage service in a professional and welcoming manner, utilizing the point-of-sale system and handheld devices for order processing and ticket time monitoring. The server will monitor assigned tables, anticipate guest needs, and respond to service requests promptly. Responsibilities also include clearing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness of service areas, and collaborating with other staff to ensure smooth operations. The position requires meeting department uniform and grooming standards, adhering to all policies and procedures, and performing all job duties safely and responsibly.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, resolve routine problems, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Asian cuisine is required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications: Appropriate gaming license, TiPS certification, Current Food Handlers Card, RBS Certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Written communication skills in English may also be required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Must be able to efficiently and accurately count money and gaming chips and make change.
  • Possess the ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Team members must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe, responsible manner.
  • Perform other job-related and compatible duties as assigned.
