Server (Full Time And Part Time)
About The Position
Morrison Living is hiring immediately for full time and part time SERVER positions. This role involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. You will greet guests warmly, take orders efficiently, and deliver food promptly while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. The position requires a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on combinations, and accommodating reasonable requests. You will also communicate with back-of-the-house staff, handle cash-handling procedures, and promote a clean and safe environment. Promptly addressing complaints and ensuring the dining room is properly set up are also key responsibilities. The role involves operating various equipment and working with other departments for special events.
Requirements
- 6 months of prior serving experience required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly in the dining room and take food and beverages orders efficiently.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
- Follow up with guests to assist with any additional needs or requests.
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
- Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks and accommodate reasonable requests.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others.
- Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
- Promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to the supervisor.
- Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods and maintain cleanliness.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
- Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
