About The Position

The primary objective of this position is to provide service to ensure client satisfaction. This involves understanding and following outlet service procedures, ensuring guests receive courtesies at all stages of their experience, and possessing thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation, and presentation. The server must also be aware of special events and promotions, utilize suggestive selling and up-selling techniques, and gather guest feedback. Responsibilities include table setup, checking mise-en-place, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the station and service area, and ensuring the availability and condition of service items. The server will also coach and collaborate with runners/commis waiters and attend scheduled briefings and training sessions. Related duties and special projects may also be assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years experience as a server.
  • Ability to work with large groups of people.
  • Must be physically able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to work all shifts including AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and ensure outlet service procedures are followed.
  • Ensure guests receive required courtesies from welcoming to departure.
  • Know all food and beverage items on the menu, including ingredients, preparation, and presentation.
  • Be aware of special events, promotions, and outlet-related information.
  • Use suggestive selling and up-selling techniques.
  • Gather and communicate guest feedback on food, service, and atmosphere to the reception.
  • Set up tables and check mise-en-place before operation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned station at the beginning and end of the shift.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the service station and availability/condition of silverware, glassware, chinaware, condiments, ashtrays, toothpicks, napkins, coasters, etc.
  • Coach, train, and collaborate with the runner/commis waiter.
  • Attend briefings and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
