About The Position

Hillside in McMinnville, OR, a HumanGood community nationally rated as 2025-2026 Best Senior Living community for Independent Living and Memory Care by U.S News & World Report, is looking for a talented and passionate Server to join our team! Under general supervision, the Server is responsible for the day-to-day setup, clearing, cleaning, and resetting of the dining room. Duties include taking menu orders and serving meals to residents and guests in a timely, courteous, and gracious manner, while consistently providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Prior customer service experience
• Prior food service, fast food or restaurant experience
• Food Handler’s or ServSafe certification
• Availability that includes evenings, weekends, & holidays
• High school students are welcome to apply!

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with seniors preferred

Responsibilities

• Greets residents and guests promptly as they arrive at their table
• Records accurate food and beverage orders and input into the POS system
• Explains how menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
• Informs guests of daily specials, makes recommendations
• Carries service tray in correct placement of orders to facilitate service of food and beverages
• Works safely, consistently using designated safety equipment (personal protective equipment- PPE)
• Completes bussing, runner, meal plater, utility and catering duties as needed or assigned
• Refills beverages throughout the meal service
