About The Position

Shadow Wood Country Club, a Private Member Owned Golf Club in Estero, Florida, is seeking a Server to join their team. The club recently completed a magnificent renovation and is preparing for the upcoming season. Shadow Wood offers three distinct golf courses, two full amenity clubhouses, and a world-class tennis complex, with a full schedule of dining and social activities. The club strives to provide a high-quality experience for members and guests by creating a friendly environment, embracing feedback, keeping offerings relevant, caring for staff, and being a good neighbor. The mission is to enrich members' lives by providing exceptional golf, sports, and social activities that foster friendship and fellowship within a private, safe, and secure, member-owned setting in a fiscally responsible manner. This is a full-time position that will include benefits, including medical insurance and paid time off.

Requirements

  • Must be able to effectively and quickly enter orders into the NorthStar Point of Sales System.
  • Must possess good written and excellent oral communications skills to interact with members, guests, and employees.
  • Should have basic understanding of food and beverage and culinary service.
  • Must be able spend long period of time on their feet, walking, standing, stooping, and lifting, carrying food trays, tables, chairs, and furniture up to 50 pounds.
  • Must provide uniform separates as needed, including non-slip, closed toe, black shoes, black socks, black pants, and belt. Other uniform separates may be required and will be the responsibility of the employee.
  • Employee must be neat and have well-kept appearance (uniforms must be must be worn correctly).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the timely delivery of food and beverages to members by presenting menus, answering questions and making suggestions regarding food and service, writing orders, effectively and quickly entering orders into the Point of Sale System.
  • Ensure that chits are presented correctly and in a timely manner to members and guests.
  • Accountable for assigned opening and closing job duties as well as completion of daily tasks assigned including the set-up and breakdown of all rooms necessary for service i.e. cleaning, organizing, and detailing of dining rooms and stations.
  • Promptly greets guests as they are seated and bring bread, butter and water to table.
  • Removed used tableware between courses and bus to the kitchen.
  • Clear tables after guests finished. Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
  • Promptly clean table tops and chairs between seating. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletops.
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest request to MOD or BOD as needed.
  • Any other duties assigned by Supervisor
