About The Position

Denny's is looking for individuals with a passion for hospitality and food to join their team. As a Server, you will be the face of Denny's, responsible for greeting, seating, and serving guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Your duties will include taking and delivering food and beverage orders, anticipating guest needs, suggesting menu items, receiving payments, and assisting other staff as needed, all with the goal of providing total guest satisfaction. The team is composed of committed, caring, and energetic individuals who contribute to making each Denny's location a great and diverse place.

Requirements

• Effective communicator in English, both orally and in writing
• Team player, collaborative and attentive
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends
• Excellent guest service and people skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively
• Basic math skills (e.g. add, subtract, multiply and divide)
• Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk throughout a 4 to 8 hour shift
• Must be able to legally work in Canada (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit)
• Must be able to work late nights from 11PM to 7AM

• Ensure accurate and efficient service
• Develop strong product and menu knowledge
• Help Denny's achieve its mission by adhering to Denny's Brand Standards and internal policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
