Requirements

  • Ability to perform the sequence order expectations of a server with complete knowledge of food and drinks while providing friendly service.
  • Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling techniques according to state and local serving guidelines.
  • Ability to timely identify and resolve basic issues as they arise.
  • Ability to stand and be on feet for extended periods of time in varied climate conditions.
  • Ability to carry and lift up to 50 lbs at times.
  • Ability to go up and down stairs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.
  • Excellent team-work skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year of serving experience preferred.
  • Must have open availability.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all tables in a timely fashion with an informative introduction.
  • Learn all aspects of the food and beverage menus, including knowledge of gluten free and allergy details and any specials.
  • Ensure all tables in your section are set properly before shift.
  • Pre-Buss and buss all tables, looking for empty plates, glassware etc.
  • Answer any questions the guest might have and guide them through the process to ensure that they have the best experience possible.
  • Ensure that the guest receives their food in a timely fashion, double check that they have what they need, and explain our sauces.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant and aid in side work with fellow servers.
  • Communicate with the kitchen any dietary or allergy restrictions or special requests guests may have.
  • Deliver plates and drinks to all tables, not just your own, when needed.
  • Process guest checks and collect payments.
  • Operate with the highest level of genuine hospitality and care for our guests.
  • Upsell desserts and bourbon.
