About The Position

In this role, you're the superstar of exceptional guest service. Your mission? Serving up craft beer, pizza, burgers, and the crispiest, freshest popcorn to make our guests' day! Flix Brewhouse works hard to provide gold standard experiences for guests and team members alike! Servers are expected to be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays in accordance with hiring guidelines and company policy. The purpose of this role is to exceed guest satisfaction by giving personal attention and taking ownership of excellent service. This includes listening, apologizing with empathy, finding a solution, and following through when resolving guest problems.

Requirements

Of legal age to serve alcohol.
Necessary certifications for food and alcohol handling.
Fantastic communication skills.
Love for crafting unforgettable guest experiences.
Experience handling the hustle and bustle of a high-energy setting.
Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand tall for extended periods.
Prior Server experience in a high volume restaurant.
Exceptional verbal communication skills with a warm and inviting personality.
Knowledgeable of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
Ability to multi-task, wait on multiple guests and be detailed oriented.
Ability to take direction, develop and work in a team environment.
Works calmly and executes job duties effectively under pressure.
Accountable, self-motivated, organized and utilizing problem solving skills.
Committed to quality movie-going and brewpub service and menu knowledge.
Clocks in and out when scheduled and is engaged while in server role.
Checks proper valid identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

Serving up craft beer, pizza, burgers, and popcorn to guests.
Greeting and taking orders from guests.
Serving food and beverages.
Preparing itemized checks and accepting payments.
Helping guests find their seats.
Serving guests seated in the lounge.
Setting up and clearing auditoriums.
Assisting other team members such as runners or box office hosts.
Checking valid identification of guests who appear 35 years of age or younger to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for alcohol purchase.
Providing food and beverage service to guests using great standards.
Answering questions about menu items and making recommendations.
Setting up, re-setting, and breaking down auditoriums and service areas.
Continually servicing food, alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, and other items throughout the film.
Ensuring revenue is maximized through accurate check delivery and correct billing procedures.
Communicating with guests and team members in a professional and polite manner.
Pre-bussing efficiently throughout guest's dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware, and silverware while being distraction-free.
Ensuring cleanliness of auditoriums, service areas, and other areas of the cinema.
Displaying citizenship and teamwork.
