About The Position
The Server supports the dining experience at Hilton Buena Park Anaheim by welcoming guests, taking accurate orders, providing knowledgeable menu guidance, and delivering food and beverages efficiently. The role involves managing multiple tables, maintaining clean and organized service areas, processing payments, and following company standards, security procedures, hygiene regulations, and safety guidelines. Servers need stamina for standing and moving throughout the shift, as well as lifting and bending as needed. The hotel offers a lively, high-traffic workplace serving families, theme-park visitors, and business travelers. Its amenities include on-site dining at The Rosemary Room, a heated rooftop pool, a 24-hour grab-and-go market, and Starbucks coffee service.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with guests and coworkers.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in high-pressure moments.
- Stamina to remain on one’s feet and to lift, bend, and move throughout the shift.
- Must obtain and maintain required certifications, such as Alcohol Awareness or a Food Handler’s Card, as required by state regulations.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous hospitality or food and beverage service experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and create a positive dining experience.
- Take accurate orders and attend to guests’ needs throughout their visit.
- Know menu items, ingredients, dietary considerations, daily specials, and alcohol service guidelines to assist guests.
- Deliver food and drinks promptly and accurately.
- Manage multiple tables while keeping service smooth and dining spaces clean.
- Handle transactions, close checks, and follow company and security protocols.
- Keep service areas clean and safe in accordance with hygiene regulations and certification standards.
