Server (Full Time And Part Time)
About The Position
Morrison Living is hiring immediately for full time and part time SERVER positions. This role involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. You will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and ensuring timely delivery of food. The position requires maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards, following up with guests to ensure satisfaction, and demonstrating a thorough understanding of menu items and ingredients. You will also advise guests on menu selections, accommodate special requests, and communicate effectively with back-of-the-house staff. Additionally, you will handle cash and follow proper procedures, promote a clean and safe environment, and maintain confidentiality. Addressing guest complaints promptly and ensuring the dining room is properly set up and maintained are also key aspects of this role. You will operate various equipment and collaborate with other departments for special events.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly in the dining room and take food and beverages orders efficiently.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
- Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
- Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others.
- Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
- Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
- Ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.
- Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
