About The Position
Southern Hops Brewing Company is seeking experienced Front of House staff to add to our team! With a full kitchen that will utilize quality local ingredients, our main goal is providing our customers with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and our employees with support, a great work environment, and a positive culture of teamwork. Owned and operated by South Carolinians that strive to focus on quality craft beer and local ingredients, Southern Hops Brewing Co. has over a decade of history in Florence. We are looking for skilled and friendly servers to join our team! As a server, you will play an important role at Southern Hops. Our ultimate goal is to give the customer such a positive experience that they can't wait to come back! We will be able to do this by making the customer feel welcome, provide friendly and efficient service, and possibly introducing them craft beer for the first time. Southern Hops focuses on a team-like atmosphere and will provide you the tools to achieve this main goal. We can't wait to work with you.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Restaurant Server
- Timeliness to work
- 1 years of experience with using a Point-of-Sale System like TOAST
- Being a critical thinker and using problem-solving skills
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities
- Greeting customers enthusiastically
- explaining daily specials
- Provide excellent customer service
- Arrive on time as scheduled
- Helping patrons select food and beverages by using product knowledge and suggestive selling
- Delivering food and drinks to guests and checking back to ensure guest satisfaction
- Up-sell when appropriate (also known as suggestive selling)
- Transmitting accurate orders to kitchen and bar
- Ability to keep a cash bank and closing out your shift accurately
- Preparing the dining room for guests prior to opening and doing running side work.
- Help keep restaurant clean and inviting
- Deliver checks and take payments from customers
- Cooperate and communicate with teammates and managerial staff
- Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies
- Adhere to all Standards and Procedures provided by Southern Hops, and all customer service guidelines
