About The Position

The Shore and Country Club is seeking friendly, professional, and service-oriented Servers to join our team. As a Server, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests while enjoying one of the most beautiful waterfront settings in Connecticut. We are hiring for full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions. Candidates should be available to work 25–40 hours per week, with the ability to work weekends and holidays during the season.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, banquet, or country club experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing outstanding hospitality.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least one year of restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
• Country club or banquet service experience is a plus
• ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred
• TIPS or responsible alcohol service certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to members and guests in all dining outlets.
• Greet guests warmly and offer menu recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages according to club service standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and ensure an elevated dining experience.
• Maintain clean, organized dining and service areas.
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work duties.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with club events, banquets, and special functions.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.
