About The Position

Riddle Village is seeking Part-Time Servers to join our dining department team. This role involves informing residents of menu selections, professionally presenting and serving meals with a high level of customer service, and ensuring the dining room is clean and welcoming. The Server will greet and inform residents and guests of menu selections, take food orders, assist with meal selections, present meals in a friendly and pleasant manner, address residents by name, become knowledgeable of their food and beverage preferences, and be alert and attentive to residents' needs and any service problems. Responsibilities also include clearing tables when residents are finished dining, bussing tables after meals, and resetting tables as they become available.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must like to smile, and smile often.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in the English Language.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must have an interest in working with the elderly.
Must have the ability to work well under pressure, organize workloads, and meet time deadlines.
Must have strong sense of timing and how to apply it to a serving structure.
Must display excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and as part of a team, and maintain a professional demeanor throughout the entire shift.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be able to stand majority of the time, walk short distances, stoop for and reach for food.
Must be able to lift food and equipment and withstand changes in temperature going in and out of coolers and freezers with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be able to work every other weekend and at least one day per week from 4 PM to 8 PM (exception: Sunday shift is 11 AM - 3 PM).

Responsibilities

Inform residents of menu selections for the day.
Professionally present and serve resident meals with a high level of customer service.
Ensure the dining room is clean and welcoming.
Greet and inform residents and guests of available menu selections.
Take residents and guests food orders and assist them with meal selections if requested.
Present meals to residents and guests in a friendly and pleasant manner.
Address residents by name and become knowledgeable of their likes and dislikes in food and beverages.
Be alert and attentive to residents' needs and to any problems from the residents, such as food dislikes, or service problems.
Clear the table when residents are finished dining.
Bus tables when the meal has been completed and reset the tables as they become available.
