About The Position

Terravita Golf & Country Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, is hiring a part-time Server for its fast-paced, hospitality-focused property. The Server provides attentive food and beverage service to guests, follows established service standards, uses the point-of-sale system, and maintains organized work and golf-station areas. The position requires cross-training in bartending service and a valid driver license for operating a picker for range balls and a golf cart. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
• Alcohol Awareness Training.
• Valid driver license, required when operating the range-ball picker or a golf cart.
• Meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate attention to guests upon seating.
• Describe daily specials, answer questions about menu items, and offer suggestions when appropriate.
• Take food and beverage orders and promptly deliver prepared items to guests.
• Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish items as needed.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintain an organized workstation and complete side work duties.
• Set up and break down golf stations each shift.
• Account for checks and cash transactions.
• Use the point-of-sale system and follow established procedures for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Follow established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques.
• Use tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Cross-train in bartending service.
• Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
