About The Position

Join Broken Sound Club as a Server! We are seeking individuals to distribute menus, take member/guest orders, ring orders into the kitchen, serve meals, and ensure member satisfaction. Responsibilities include opening and setting up restaurant stations, coordinating with the host for team lineups and table settings, reviewing and selling specials, checking for 86'd items, and attending daily pre-shift meetings. The role involves presenting menus, answering questions, making suggestions, serving food and beverages, coordinating course timing, anticipating member needs, and maintaining table appearance. You will also assist with setting tables, pouring coffee, and closing stations. This position takes direction from Captains and Management.

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
Excellent communication skills are necessary.
Fine Dining/catering/ Restaurant Serving experience preferred
Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk or hear, taste or smell.
Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb and balance.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work in environments with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
Ability to work in a moderately noisy environment.

Responsibilities

Distributes menus, takes member/guest orders, and rings orders into the kitchen.
Serves meals and checks on member satisfaction.
Opens and sets up restaurant stations.
Checks with the host for nightly team line-up and table sets, private parties, and special arrangements.
Reviews specials and has the ability to sell them in detail.
Checks with the Kitchen/Bar for 86’d items, entrees, and desserts.
Attends daily pre-shift meetings.
Presents menus, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food, wine, and service.
Serves food & beverage orders from the kitchen and service bars.
Coordinates timing of courses throughout the dining experience.
Observes members to anticipate needs and respond to any additional requests.
Manicures tables throughout the dinner service.
Lades soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by the establishment’s size and practices.
Assists any other associates in their duties including setting tables and pouring coffee when needed.
Closes stations and assists & coordinates side work of bus persons and servers.
Takes direction from Captains and Management.
