About The Position

As a Server at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa, you serve meals and beverages to patrons in a dining establishment. You demonstrate Westgate’s core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic in interactions with guests and team members. Starting pay is $6.98 per hour, plus tips. The role is at the resort in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Requirements

Obtain ABC Certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current, valid status.
Meet the state minimum age to serve alcohol.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Follow instructions without close supervision.
Be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Pass a background screen and drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
Write orders on checks or memorize them.
Relay orders to the kitchen and serve courses from the kitchen and service bars.
Serve patrons from chafing dishes at the table.
Observe diners to respond to additional requests and determine when meals are complete.
Complete assigned side work and special projects.
Maintain complete menu and bar knowledge.
Total bills and accept payment or refer patrons to the cashier.
