About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Rock Creek located at 3602 NW 5th Street, Ankeny, IA 50023. This PRN position offers a pay range of $16 - $20.25 per hour and requires a flexible schedule. As a Server, you will be responsible for greeting residents, fostering a welcoming environment, preparing tables and meals, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and communicating any observed changes in residents' dietary habits or appetite to supervisors and Wellness. The role requires a positive and energetic attitude, the ability to communicate in English at an 8th-grade proficiency, and physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prep tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Bus tables.
- Sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
- Communicate when residents are absent from meals.
