About The Position

As a Server at Riviera Country Club, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences during the Genesis Invitational. Operating in a non-tipping environment, you will focus on providing impeccable service, anticipating member needs, and ensuring a seamless dining atmosphere. Your responsibilities will extend beyond traditional serving duties to create a sophisticated and enjoyable environment for our discerning members and guests.

Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Previous serving experience in a high-end or fine dining establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service protocols.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • At least one year of experience as a server in a fine dining environment
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the club. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate order taking, delivering food and beverages with precision.
  • Anticipate member needs and preferences to enhance their dining experience.
  • Provide professional, attentive, and personalized service to club members and their guests.
  • Thoroughly understand the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and any special considerations (e.g., dietary restrictions).
  • Offer informed recommendations and be prepared to answer questions about the menu.
  • Set up and maintain tables in accordance with club standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization in the dining areas throughout service.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service team members to coordinate seamless service.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient and synchronized operations.
  • Promote featured menu items, specials, and club events to enhance member experience and satisfaction.
  • Encourage members to explore diverse menu options.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Follow established club policies and procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with members by demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and a genuine interest in their satisfaction.
  • Handle member feedback and concerns with diplomacy and discretion.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Assist fellow team members during peak hours and special events.
