Stella’s is looking for Servers to join their Kenaston Team. Stella’s has been a part of the Winnipeg restaurant scene since 1999 and proudly continues to be locally owned and operated. As a Server at Stella’s Café, you are the face of the guest experience, always prioritizing guests. You are responsible for providing warm, friendly, and efficient service while ensuring guests feel welcome, heard, and well cared for. You’ll guide guests through their dining experience from menu suggestions to timely service and accurate billing, all while maintaining Stella’s high standard of hospitality. This position will have 100% working knowledge and participation of all Front of House (FOH) positions.

Requirements

Maintain Manitoba Smart Choices certificate.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the team and guests. This include verbal and written communication and active listening to understand and respond to instructions and requests.
Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate a strong ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts including days and evenings. Weekends are mandatory.

Nice To Haves

Previous serving or customer service experience
Knowledge of food allergies and safe service practices is an asset

Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and professionally.
Take food and beverage orders with accuracy and efficiency. Ensure that every guest is provided with enough information, via suggestive selling techniques, that they may have the best possible Stella’s experience.
Adhere to the Stella’s 20 steps of service.
Communicate guest preferences and dietary needs clearly to the kitchen.
Deliver food and drinks in a timely and courteous manner.
Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction.
Ensure all items served are entered into the POS system and process credit cards and cash transactions accurately as to Stella’s policy.
Maintain cleanliness of tables, sections, and service areas.
Collaborate with the kitchen, baristas, and fellow servers for smooth service.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and Stella’s service standards.
Perform assigned cleaning duties associated with server position.
Adhere to Manitoba Food Safe requirements.
Provide support to the Front of House positions.
Other duties assigned.
