The position requires mobility throughout the shift and involves serving guests, using the point-of-sale register, handling payments, and helping maintain the dining room. Physical requirements include navigating the restaurant, communicating with guests, moving and grasping items up to five pounds, occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds, and bending and stooping. Requirements

• Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, and booth seats and pick up floor debris throughout the restaurant.
• Ability to transport plates, glasses, and baskets between the dining room, service bar, and kitchen about 30 times per shift.
• Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills.
• Mobility throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to transport glass racks and cases weighing up to 25 pounds, such as a case of beer, up to 15 times per shift.
• Ability to navigate throughout the restaurant and communicate with guests.
• Ability to move and grasp items weighing up to five pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to bend and stoop.
• Adequate vision to discern cleanliness throughout the restaurant and operate a touchscreen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and drinks and provide ongoing service to guests.
• Greet guests, answer questions, and make suggestions about food, drinks, and service.
• Interact with guests to create a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
• Relay orders to the service bar and kitchen using the computerized point-of-sale register system.
• Observe and serve guests, responding to their needs and requests.
• Present guest checks and facilitate payment, make correct change, and complete the proper charge-card procedure.
• Help clear and reset dining-room tables.
