About The Position
Servers at the Whitewater Center are responsible for providing friendly and responsive service in a high-volume restaurant environment. The Server is an on-site, part-time, hourly position who reports directly to the Front of House managers.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, and inform customers about food preparation details.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during Whitewater events as needed.
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe alcohol certification or equivalent.
- 1-2 years serving in a high volume, casual dining atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality dining experiences- accurately take orders, submit orders to kitchen, deliver items to guests, refill glasses, etc.
- Stay open and attentive to the needs of the guest.
- Handle cash transactions and operate a restaurant point-of-sale system.
- Stay current and be able to inform guests of menu options, sides, and specials.
- Maintain a clean dining environment- pre-bus and bus tables, sweep floors, etc. as needed.
- Perform assigned side work tasks and efficiently make use of downtime.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of operating hours, activities, and products offered outside of Food and Beverage department.
- Other duties as assigned.
