About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a part-time Server to join our team at The Rushwood Senior Living in Wichita, Kansas. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming and positive dining experience for our residents. As a Server, you will be responsible for greeting residents, fostering a connected environment, preparing tables and meals, maintaining cleanliness, and observing resident dietary habits. We are looking for individuals with a positive and energetic attitude who are at least sixteen years old, can communicate effectively in English, are active and able to lift up to 50 pounds, and can assist residents with mobility and daily needs. A criminal background check is required.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain residents.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for meals, and roll silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness regarding poor dietary habits, changes in appetite, or resident absences from meals.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Assist persons after a fall.
