About The Position

The server/ floor lead must possess a strong dedication toward learning and motivation to progress. Japanese cuisine experience is a plus. Previous fine dining/upscale experience is ideal but not required. Cleanliness, organization and the ability to work well in a team situation are crucial to this position. Must have lunch and dinner availability. The duties of this position may change from time to time. Omakase Restaurant Group reserves the right to add or delete duties and responsibilities at the discretion of Omakase Restaurant Group or its managers. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as a server in a high-end full-service restaurant.
Knowledge of Japanese cuisine required.
Knowledge of sake and wine required.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
The ability to stand for long periods of time.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Valid California ServSafe Food Handler Certification
Valid Responsible Beverage Service Certification

Nice To Haves

Japanese cuisine experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Enter orders into POS systems.
Knowledge of the menu, with ability to make suggestions.
Knowledge of omakase-style environment, sake and wine.
Run food to tables and assist wherever needed.
Check back with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
Collect and process payment in a timely manner.
Complete side work and other projects assigned by management.
Excellent communication skills with management, chefs, and fellow team members.
Ability to work in a team environment, with great enthusiasm and energy.
