About The Position

Silver Creek Valley Country Club, located in San Jose, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. The server will work in the Ohlone Lounge. The Server is an integral to the guest experience and provides food & beverage services to the guests of the property. The server will be processing orders and serving food & beverage items to customers, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.

Requirements

1–2 years of food service experience
Minimum education: high school diploma (or equivalent)
Thorough understanding of fine and casual dining
Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law
Possesses excellent customer service skills
Must be dependable
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

Welcomes and seats diners comfortably in the dining section
Takes customers’ food and drink orders
Collaborates with kitchen and bar staff for prompt and accurate delivery of orders
Memorizes the menu and recommends appetizers, meals, and drinks from the restaurant wine stock
Delivers a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
Assists with tidying tables, clearing leftovers, and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
Sets tables and rearranges the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare for special events
Ensures cooking utensils and kitchen areas are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
