About The Position

Cornerstone Restaurant Group (CRG) is seeking talented Servers for its newest restaurant, Dimmi Dimmi, located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Dimmi Dimmi is a 70-seat Italian restaurant with an additional 40 outdoor seats, offering a reimagined take on classic Italian dishes, cocktails, and a vibrant atmosphere. The culinary team is led by Executive Chef Matthew Eckfeld, with pastry guidance from consultant Casey Doody. CRG is looking for passionate individuals who value collaboration and thrive in creating a positive environment for both guests and employees.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age
High school education or equivalent
1-2 years of experience
Basic computer skills
Ability to deal with guests in a professional manner while maintaining a composed demeanor in high stress situations

Responsibilities

Greet guests, accurately take food and drink orders and enter them into the point of sale system
Accurately record and account for all items ordered, process payments, and balance all sales/receipts in compliance with restaurant policies and procedures
Provide tailored and personalized service
Run food and drink orders
Clear dishes
Participate in daily service meetings
Take ownership of designated station
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of menu items, food preparation techniques, and culinary terminology
Articulately describe all menu items, including daily additions to the menu
Conduct ongoing cleaning and maintenance of workstations according to established restaurant procedures
Assist other stations whenever necessary
Assist in training new service staff
Report problem situations to management immediately
Attend mandatory meetings when scheduled
Recommend appropriate food and beverage items to guests
Monitor guests to fulfill additional requests
Communicate difficulties, guest comments, and other relevant information to your manager
