About The Position
The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is seeking a Part-Time AM Server to join our Food & Beverage team. Located in the heart of Portland’s historic Old Port District, our property is a proud Historic Hotel of America, known for exceptional guest service, timeless charm, and a welcoming team environment. This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, team-oriented, and thrives in a guest-facing hospitality environment. The AM Server is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by professionally greeting them, taking food and beverage orders, serving meals efficiently, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
Requirements
- TIPS Certification required
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Previous restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong guest service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
- Monitor order timing and ensure prompt, accurate service
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties
- Restock service items throughout the shift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the outlet
- Support fellow servers, hosts, food runners, and supervisors
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate to management when needed
- Follow all Maine liquor laws and hotel safety procedures
- Assist with training new team members as needed
