About The Position

The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is a 605-room luxury convention center hotel located in downtown Oklahoma City. It is situated next to the Paycom Center, the Oklahoma Convention Center, and across from Scissortail Park. The hotel features Mokara Spa, six food and beverage outlets, 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a retail outlet, a fitness center, and a rooftop pool. Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year serving experience.
  • Must have unexpired Food Handler's permit or obtain one upon hire.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service, service recovery, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and consistent use of hands and arms.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.

Nice To Haves

  • High volume sports/live entertainment bar experience preferred.
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Wait on tables promptly and courteously.
  • Serve guests with genuine care.
  • Maintain full familiarity with menus and beverage offerings.
  • Greet guests with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
  • Take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on menu selections and daily specials.
  • Communicate meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the culinary team.
  • Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order and adhere to cash handling standards.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and beverage.
  • Present accurate checks to guests and process payment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
  • Process station set-up and break-down and complete all other side work duties.
  • Ensure tables are set up properly, including polishing and cleaning glasses.
  • Provide service to guests according to Omni Moments of Service Standards.
  • Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
  • Clean, clear, and reset service areas.
  • Protect the hotel from liability regarding overserving guests.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the restaurant manager.
