About The Position

We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and guest-focused Restaurant Server to join our Food & Beverage team at DoubleTree by Hilton South Bend. Our Servers play an important role in creating a welcoming dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, attentive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced hotel environment while working closely with the culinary and Food & Beverage teams. Requirements

• Previous restaurant, hotel, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Professional, friendly, and positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry trays and service items.
• Must meet applicable age and certification requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Previous experience in a server role preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter orders into the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages efficiently while ensuring accuracy and proper presentation.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, ingredients, and available beverages.
• Make recommendations and use suggestive selling to enhance the guest experience.
• Check on guests throughout their dining experience and respond promptly to requests.
• Process guest checks and payments accurately.
• Pre-bus, clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables as needed.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and side-work duties.
• Maintain clean and organized dining and service areas.
• Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, culinary team members, and management.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, Hilton brand, and company standards.
• Assist with banquet, restaurant, or other Food & Beverage operations as business needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Greet and seat guests in a timely and courteous manner.
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing attentive and personalized service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and workstations.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve any issues professionally.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
• Handle cash and process payments as needed.
