About The Position
The Server accommodates residents and guests during their dining experience by attending to their needs in a friendly, timely, and professional manner. This is a part-time dining role at Allegro Harrington Park, an assisted living community in Harrington Park, New Jersey. The position offers consistent schedules and early shifts, with no late-night restaurant hours. Servers help create a welcoming experience and build relationships with residents and guests.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail, flexibility and adaptability, safety awareness, and teamwork.
- Must pass a criminal background screening.
- Must adhere to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy; associates are subject to its requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Food serving experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat residents and guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Approach and interact with residents and guests in a friendly, service-oriented, and professional manner.
- Serve food efficiently and professionally.
- Clear glasses, silverware, dishes, and other table items after a course or meal, following company protocol.
- Maintain a clean dining room and wipe down and sanitize chairs, windows, floors, and work areas after every meal period.
- Deliver and retrieve trays to and from residents’ apartments as needed.
- Label and date all food.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
