About The Position
Looking for a job where the view is almost as good as the food? Join the team at Superior Shores Restaurant & Bar, located right along the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior. As a Server, you’ll be an important part of creating a memorable experience for our guests. From welcoming guests to their table to recommending a favorite menu item, taking orders, serving meals, and making sure every detail is taken care of, you’ll help make each visit feel like part of their North Shore getaway. Our restaurant features American cuisine with a modern twist, an extensive wine selection, local beers, handcrafted cocktails, and a menu featuring everything from wood-fired pizzas and fresh fish to hand-cut steaks and house-made desserts. With incredible views of Lake Superior and guests visiting from near and far, every shift brings something a little different.
Requirements
- A positive, friendly attitude and a genuine desire to take care of people
- Previous serving experience is helpful, but we’re willing to train the right person
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Dependable attendance and a willingness to jump in wherever needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and carry trays or other items throughout a shift
- Must meet applicable age requirements for serving alcohol
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly, genuine attitude and provide attentive, personalized service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar
- Be knowledgeable about our menu, daily offerings, beverages, and resort amenities
- Make recommendations and answer guest questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally
- Monitor tables throughout the meal and anticipate guest needs
- Ensure guest checks are accurate and process payments efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area
- Follow all food safety, alcohol service, and sanitation guidelines
- Work closely with the kitchen, bartenders, hosts, and other restaurant team members
- Assist with opening, closing, side work, and other restaurant duties as needed
- Help create the kind of experience that makes guests want to come back to the North Shore
