About The Position

Barrel House is seeking a server to join their team. The server is the main guest service and sales representative of the establishment, focusing on providing guests with a memorable and positive experience. This role is part of the Official watch party location for all ISU sports.

Requirements

1 to 5 years previous server experience.
High school or equivalent preferred.
Point of Sale System experience preferred.
Be able to exert fast-paced mobility for long periods of time.
Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greets guests and thanks them when they are leaving and builds rapport by asking questions and initiating conversation.
Responsible for hosting and bussing as needed.
Utilizes the Barrel House Steps of Service when serving guests.
Has extensive menu knowledge and can describe all food, drink, and special menu items.
Relays all orders to the bar and the kitchen via the POS tablet.
Continuously interacts with the kitchen to ensure delivery of all food items.
Sets up and maintains a section throughout the shift.
Possesses the ability to multitask and be aware of several tables' progression through the dining experience.
Handles cash, closes out table checks in an orderly and timely fashion, and provides accurate change.
Checks for guest satisfaction and makes any adjustments necessary.
Follows up on each order to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Pre-buses tables.
Runs food to guest tables.
Brings in condiments and anything else that is needed for the order.
Prints checks, brings any carry-out containers needed, presents checks, and asks if additional service is needed.
Performs side duties as assigned.
Has a thorough knowledge of the menu and facility operations.
Delivers professional, courteous, and efficient service to guests.
Practices teamwork by helping co-workers.
Trains and guides other servers as requested by management.
Adheres to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance.
