About The Position
The Hilton Milwaukee is seeking a dedicated morning Café Server to join their dynamic team and contribute to the exceptional guest experience they are known for. As a Café Server, it will be your responsibility to tailor the Café experience to each guest, providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner, resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction. The Hilton Milwaukee recently completed a $40 million renovation, elevating its guest rooms, event spaces, and grand lobby. Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, the Hilton Milwaukee is the city's largest hotel and a historic gem, priding itself on continuous innovation through world-class service, upscale amenities, and superior style.
Requirements
- Prior food, beverage, cash handling and hospitality experience preferred.
- Innate desire to serve and ability to maintain service and departmental standards.
- Basic knowledge of food & beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
- Learn table settings, service ware, and menu items.
- Proficient in English for menu comprehension, recording orders, and guest communication.
- Recall and promote menu items.
- Maintain professional demeanor and clean uniform.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
- Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
- Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
- Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
- Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.
- Maintain self-banking procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
