The Server is responsible for ensuring excellence in guest satisfaction by serving food and beverages according to established standards and maintaining a clean dining area. This role involves possessing full knowledge of food and beverage products, utilizing suggestive selling techniques, taking and delivering orders in a timely manner, and ensuring immediate, friendly, and personalized service to encourage guest returns. Servers guide guests through menus, answer questions, provide suggestions, and maintain positive guest satisfaction. They handle guest complaints or direct them to a manager, operate the point-of-sale system efficiently, and practice proper cash handling procedures. The position also includes setting up and breaking down equipment, ensuring floors are clean, maintaining work areas by organizing and cleaning service stations, pre-bussing tables, accurately inputting orders, and properly handling dishware. Servers act as a final check on food and beverage quality, assist in training new staff, complete opening, running, and closing duties, and deliver items with a sense of urgency while knowing table numbers and floor plans. They may assist with greeting and seating guests, maintain high-level knowledge of company products, notify management of low inventory, and perform other assigned duties with a sense of urgency. Adherence to responsible alcohol service, safety, sanitation practices, and all company policies is required.
