About The Position

Desert Highlands Golf Club is looking for an experienced, full-time Server to join their Food & Beverage team. Requirements

  • High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; one year (+) related experience and/or training.
  • Must be Nineteen Years of Age (To serve alcohol).
  • Must have valid, current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card.
  • Present a positive, professional image.
  • Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures prompt and polite service to the members and their guests.
  • Prepares service stations.
  • Greets members and their guests.
  • Receives orders.
  • Serves food and beverages.
  • Presents checks to members and their guests.
  • Cleans and resets tables.
  • Cleans and closes service stations.
  • Greets all arriving guests at assigned stations in a pleasant manner, making them feel welcome and at ease.
  • Assumes responsibility for proper set-up of their dining room section and helps with all work stations.
  • Leaves these areas cleaner than they found them.
  • Understands and describes menu items in detail to members/guests.
  • Serves only F&B items that meet quality/presentation standards.
  • Distributes menus, if applicable.
  • Sets up side station and performs side work.
  • Takes members/guests orders.
  • Places orders with the kitchen; informs expeditors about any special cooking instructions.
  • Assembles food on tray; procures items from each station as necessary.
  • Serves meal; places dishes by courses in front of each person.
  • Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.
  • Verifies accuracy of prices and other charges on all checks.
  • Ensures that members sign their checks accordingly.
  • Removes spoiled dishes.
  • Suggests and serves dessert, coffee and after dinner drinks.
