Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar size establishment.
  • Previous Guest Service experience.
  • Good knowledge of wines, beers, and cocktails.
  • Must possess Smart Serve.
  • Efficient and quick to learn.
  • Pleasant attitude, outgoing personality.
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in the English language (Written and Verbal).

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and take orders for food and beverages in accordance with brand standards and legislation.
  • Take food and beverage orders using the point of sale system (POS).
  • Provide speedy and accurate service of food and beverages with necessary accompaniments.
  • Present guest checks for payment in a timely manner.
  • Accurately post charges to guest accounts.
  • Answer guest questions or direct them to colleagues who can assist, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a pleasant and helpful attitude towards guests, colleagues, and managers.
  • Prepare the bar for service, ensuring cleanliness and setting tables with condiments, cutlery, side plates, menus, and promotional material.
  • Order drinks from Bartenders through POS.
  • Pick up food orders from the kitchen.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar/dining area.
  • Adhere to AGCO liquor licensing regulations.
  • Maintain a hygienic and safe working environment.
  • Efficiently use the Micros system and input all orders at the time of the order.
  • Complete full closing procedures and morning set-up.
  • Replenish service items in readiness for the next shift, including cutlery, roll-ups, and resetting tables.
  • Adhere to and comply with all safety regulations when handling hazardous materials according to MSDS.
  • Ensure correct cash and credit card handling when closing out guest checks.
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts to sales receipts for deposit to the General Cashier.
  • Follow Chelsea grooming policy, ensuring nametag is visible at all times.
  • Comply with Hotel and Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager.
