About The Position
This role involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. The server will greet guests warmly, take orders efficiently, and deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. A key part of the role is demonstrating complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on combinations, and accommodating reasonable requests. The server will also communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special requests are met. Exceptional communication skills, flexibility, and patience are essential when interacting with guests and staff. The position also includes collecting tickets, following proper cash-handling procedures, promoting a clean and safe environment, and maintaining confidentiality. Promptly addressing complaints and relaying information to supervisors is also required. The server will ensure the dining room is properly set up and maintained according to sanitation standards, and operate various equipment. Collaboration with other departments for special events and functions is expected, along with performing other assigned duties.

- Follows proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests.
- Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
- Promptly addresses complaints or issues; relays relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
- Ensures that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keeps area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
- Operates a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.
- Works with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
