About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Vitalia Highland Heights. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to create a welcoming and engaging environment for residents. As a Server, you will be responsible for greeting residents, fostering connections, preparing tables and meals, maintaining cleanliness, and observing resident dining habits. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive and supportive community for our residents.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to assist persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain residents.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, and roll silverware.
- Understand that successful meal service requires preparation.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Play a crucial part in making the community something to be proud of.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness regarding poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when residents are absent from meals.
