About The Position

The Server position is responsible for welcoming and greeting guests, making them feel comfortable, and ensuring they have a positive dining experience. This role involves taking orders, delivering food and beverages, processing payments, and performing side work. Servers must also monitor guest satisfaction, respond to requests, assist colleagues, and maintain a strong knowledge of the menu. The position requires adherence to hygiene standards and participation in team meetings and food runner shifts.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Previous restaurant experience is optional but preferred.
Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information to customers and other team members.
Ability to add and subtract two and three-digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money.
Ability to operate computer point-of-sale system.
Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
Food Handler Certification is required.
TABC Certification is required.

Responsibilities

Welcome and greet guests.
Make guests feel comfortable and cared for.
Answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant services.
Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests promptly.
Prepare final bills, present checks, accept payments, and process credit card charges or make change.
Perform side work as required at the start and end of shifts.
Monitor guests' dining experience to ensure satisfaction.
Respond promptly and courteously to requests.
Communicate guest feedback to managers.
Assist fellow servers.
Obtain strong working knowledge of the menu by completing server training.
Work 1-2 Food Runner shifts per week.
Attend all scheduled team member meetings.
