About The Position

Canyon Ranch seeks a Server to provide quality food service to guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Servers serve clean, organic, and sustainable cuisine and help guests learn about healthy dining and Canyon Ranch’s nutritional philosophy. The role involves building relationships with returning guests and providing exceptional service in a full-service resort setting. This position is available full-time or part-time. Hourly pay is $17.00 for breakfast and lunch shifts and $19.00 for evening shifts, plus incentive potential. Weekends and evenings are required. Benefits include free gym and health club membership with access to 60 fitness classes and a variety of lectures and workshops, as well as 55% off services.

Requirements

One to two years of experience in a fast-paced food environment.
Understanding of healthy dining.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to explain menus and ingredients and take guests’ orders.
Flexible and guest-service oriented, with a mature, outgoing attitude, a sense of urgency, a proactive demeanor, and pride in Canyon Ranch’s food-service standards.
Availability to work weekends and holidays; evening work is also required.

Responsibilities

Perform dining-room setup and breakdown according to standard operating procedures.
Greet guests politely and positively, take food and beverage orders, and serve orders in a friendly and timely manner.
Check on guests throughout meals and attend to their needs, using guests’ names where appropriate.
Answer menu questions and learn Canyon Ranch’s nutritional philosophy, menu ingredients, overall operation, activities, and services.
Explain menus and ingredients and take guests’ orders.
Provide excellent guest service and help educate guests about healthy dining.
