About The Position

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for friendly, dependable, and service-focused Servers to join our dining team at Hillcrest Highlands of Gretna. Hillcrest Highlands of Gretna offers a resort-style senior living environment focused on comfort, connection, and an exceptional resident experience. As a Server, you will play an important role in making mealtime something residents and guests can genuinely look forward to.   • Must be able to utilize technology and available resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Must follow established food-safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous restaurant, senior living, hospitality, food service, or customer-service experience preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous serving, restaurant, hospitality, senior living, or food-service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet residents and guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Take and communicate meal and beverage orders accurately.
  • Assist residents with menu selections and dining requests.
  • Serve meals and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Learn resident preferences and help create a personalized dining experience.
  • Set up dining areas before service and clean and reset tables afterward.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining environment.
  • Assist with stocking dining areas and maintaining appropriate supply levels.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to keep meal service running smoothly.
  • Communicate resident preferences, concerns, or special requests to the appropriate team member.
  • Follow food-safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
  • Assist with special meals, celebrations, events, and additional dining needs as assigned.
  • Jump in and help the team wherever needed.
