About The Position

As a Server at MAR Y SOL, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience. You will greet guests promptly, guide them through our food and cocktail offerings, suggest appetizers and drinks based on guest preferences or daily specials, take and deliver orders efficiently, and ensure checks are closed accurately—all while creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Server in an upscale, high-volume restaurant (required)
• Friendly, upbeat, and guest-focused personality
• Passion for food, wine, and cocktails with a desire to expand product knowledge
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced service environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Team-oriented mindset
• Valid TABC and Food Handler Certifications (required)

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a timely, professional, and friendly manner
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food, cocktails, wine, and specials
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate clearly with kitchen and bar teams
• Deliver food and drinks promptly and check in regularly with guests
• Close checks and handle payments accurately
• Work collaboratively with support staff and management to ensure smooth service
