About The Position
As a Part Time Server at Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, you will be responsible for tailoring the dining experience to each guest by providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner, resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction. Timber Ridge Lodge, located in historic Lake Geneva, is the only all-season, all-suite destination of its kind in the Midwest. It features 50,000 square feet of year-round, indoor/outdoor waterpark excitement, making it a family bonding adventure. The property also boasts two championship golf courses, a spa and fitness center, a ski park, award-winning restaurants, and 1300 acres of picturesque grounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 18 years old to be able to serve alcohol.
- Prior service experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and etiquette.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Service-oriented with the ability to take direction.
- Strong communication skills and familiarity with hospitality.
- Ability to build effective relationships with management, staff, and the public.
- Ability to lift and transport trays up to 30 lbs. through crowded spaces as well as stand for a full shift.
- Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
- Understand the menu including ingredients and preparation.
- Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
- Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
- Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
- Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.
- Maintain self-banking procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
