About The Position

SGA Lists is hiring Servers in the Saratoga Springs and the Capital District areas for special events. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service during special events, banquets, and catering functions. You will play a key role in ensuring guests have a positive experience by serving food and beverages, setting up and clearing tables, and maintaining a high standard of service throughout the event.

• A strong customer service orientation and a pleasant, professional demeanor.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays and items as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial but not always required; on-the-job training is often provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up banquet halls and event spaces, arranging tables, chairs, linens, and other necessary items according to event specifications.
• Provide professional, efficient, and courteous service to guests during events.
• Serve food and beverages, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Clear tables promptly, reset them for the next course, and ensure that tables are clean and properly arranged throughout the event.
• Collaborate with the event coordinator and kitchen staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and in a timely manner.
• Interact with guests, respond to their requests, and address any concerns or special requests to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Follow established service and safety guidelines, including food handling, alcohol service, and health and safety regulations.
• Assist in breaking down event spaces after the function, ensuring all items are stored properly and the space is left clean and orderly.
• Work closely with other banquet servers and event staff to maintain a cohesive and efficient service team.
