About The Position

The Server supports meal services by preparing dining areas and trays, assisting with food preparation and service, and delivering meal carts to residents. The role follows food safety guidelines and residents’ dietary restrictions, maintains assigned dining areas and kitchen sanitation, and records refrigerator temperatures. The Server must follow applicable facility, departmental, regulatory, and accrediting-agency requirements, attend department meetings as required, and complete annual mandatory training and competencies. The position is hourly, with expected hours including days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic food preparation knowledge.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety practices.

Nice To Haves

• One year of food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up the dining area and meal trays for meal services, following food safety guidelines and residents’ dietary restrictions.
• Assist the cook or supervisor with food preparation and service using established procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
• Deliver residents’ meal carts and set up and clean assigned dining areas.
• Record refrigerator temperatures and clean and stock refrigerators as needed.
• Wash and store dishes and maintain kitchen sanitation and upkeep.
• Follow applicable federal, state, and community rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as facility and departmental policies, including those concerning human resources, ethics and business conduct, health and safety, compliance, patient rights, confidentiality, HIPAA, and accrediting-agency standards.
• Attend department meetings as required.
• Take responsibility for personal and professional growth and obtain required certifications or licenses, if applicable.
• Complete mandatory training and competencies annually.
